Established in 2021 following over 20 years of close collaboration with Watson Brown, Smart Scenery has continued to evolve as a trusted name in set building. In 2021, we branched out independently and have since contributed to high-profile productions including Unicorns, Red Eye, Too Much, White Mars, The Capture and Bridgerton Season 4.

We pride ourselves on offering a complete in-house service—from initial drawings to full set builds—backed by an experienced, hand-picked team of industry professionals. Our workforce is drawn from the closely-knit UK film scene, bringing a deep understanding of the unique demands of film and television production.

Prop making and SFX break-away Specialists

Our team brings extensive experience in designing and building props of all shapes and sizes, with a particular specialism in high-quality special effects and break-away scenery. We are highly skilled in creating durable, camera-ready builds that meet the demanding technical and creative requirements of major productions.
Our Construction Manager previously served as Head Special Effects Carpenter on Fast & Furious 9, overseeing complex builds and high-impact practical effects for one of the industry’s largest franchises. Alongside this, our team has produced a wide range of intricate, detail-driven props for Bridgerton Seasons 3 and 4, as well as numerous other film and television productions. This breadth of experience allows us to deliver reliable, innovative solutions at scale, while maintaining exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
